The aim of the 13th Chinese Lexical Semantics Workshop (CLSW2012) is to bring together researchers interested in any aspect of Chinese lexical semantics. Topics of interest for the workshop include theoretical, computational or application related issues of lexical semantic research. Papers are invited on substantial, original, and unpublished research in any aspects of lexical semantics in Chinese, including, but not limited to, the following:
- Recent advancements in lexical semantics, such as sememe, semantic features, semantic net, words contrast between Chinese and foreign languages, the relationship between lexical semantics and syntax semantics, systems of semantic category, etc.
- Construction of corpus, and theories, technology, tools, methods, criteria for sense tagging.
- Construction of Chinese word resources, such as dictionaries, thesauri, ontology, etc.
- construction of Chinese lexical resources, such as Chinese Concept Dictionary (CCD), HowNet, WordNet, etc.
- Representation, computation and inference of Chinese lexical meanings.
- Applications of Chinese lexical semantics on natural language processing, including information extraction, information retrieval, question answering system, machine translation, lexicography, etc.
- New methods of Chinese Lexical Semantics, including the research about machine learning, evolutionary computation, Neural Networks, etc.
- Papers on any other topics in Chinese Lexical Semantics and related fields are cordially welcome.
